Butch Jones was on the winning sideline for the first time in the Third Saturday in October rivalry and Alabama players rewarded him with a Gatorade bath. Alabama easily defeated Tennessee, 58-21, Saturday afternoon in Neyland Stadium.

Jones, now serving as an offensive analyst for Alabama, was 0-5 against the Crimson Tide during five seasons as Tennessee's head coach. Tennessee is still paying him $200,000 a month - and will do so until Feb. 2021 - as he works under Alabama head coach Nick Saban in Tuscaloosa. Jones can't coach players as an analyst but has helped Alabama's offensive staff behind the scenes this season.

"He works hard in terms of assisting our coaches and planning and preparation," Saban said about Jones' role on the team. "Butch is a very bright guy and he's done a really good job of that. Basically, what he does is assist Mike (Locksley) as much as possible. He always gives me a little summary of things he thinks we need to work on on offense just from an overall view from a thousand feet, which has been very helpful."

After the Gatorade bath, Jones indulged in his first victory cigar of the rivalry, as well. Alabama players said before the game they had been joking with Jones about getting him a cigar.
