Lecavalier actually showed more jump last night than in a very long time. But the defense sucked monkey balls and Nitty was left hung out to dry in the 3rd. Hedman, Smaby, Meszaros all had giveaways. Smith wasn't any better when he came in. On Carter's breakaway, I had no doubt he would score, as Smith played it like he does in a shootout. On his heels, backing his ass up into the goal, then flopping like a dead fish. Tocchet is a dead man walking as coach of the team, and hopefully Vinik cleans house in the offseason and sends Lawton with him.

Might be time to change this thread title to "One point out of 14th place" If the Panthers beat us today, they will jump us in the standings, and we will be only 4 points out of dead last in the conference.
