I don't disagree but its funny that it's Andy Reid we're talking about as elite in recalling comments about him when he was with the Eagles and early with the Chiefs.

I'm not a big fan of the single wing in the NFL.

The deep ball is not what defeats upfront pressure and the defense loading up closer to the LOS.

I don't know why you guys bother watching these games. I took the GSS recommendation and drove off a cliff instead. It went great!
Abject pain in 1/100th of the time it would've taken to watch that game.

Those Buffalo Bulls of frigid college lore took since 1894 to produce a player of Mack's level. I had him on my mock. Three times.
I said the athletically gifted yet mostly overlooked asset the Bucs stole in the fifth round from there just needed an opportunity to shine. Other than that year with the Bucs. Or the Ravens. Or the Eagles.
I predicted it would come back to bite my Bucs right in the ass. I'm right now that he's a Falcon. Making his mark. As I said he would.
It might be a skid mark in some un-tidy whities but they should be Buc skid marks damnit.
    Toodles.

Steven Means. Bucs drafted him 2013 and didn't know he was still on a roster. He starts at DE for the Falcons and doesn't seem to provide much but he is still on a roster. I think Means was a guy snook liked as a poor man's Khalil Mack who he wasn't all that high on.

Gulf Shore Steve got a reaction from bucs63 in Brees will be out for a while. Will it be Jameis Winston or Hill?
On Hill - if he can't throw the ball with success all of his gadget shit will be shut down. It may not happen in the first game or two but it will happen.
On Winston - I think clearly something happened in between the end of the last game and the announcement yesterday. The Saints may have decided that they had to see if Hill could play the position full time at the money he's provided or Winston in practice may have shown little enough to scare off Payton. Could be some level of combination of the two as well.

The best players play.  And while I don't have much use for Antonio Brown on any level, he's obviously a superior talent to guys like Miller, Watson and Johnson.

The Bucs invested 5 years developing him, and frankly he had good coaches, so I don't see this as a case of the Bucs not investing enough time developing him.  Maybe maturity will kick in (especially after not getting the fat contract and taking a cheap 1 year deal), or maybe something starts to click now that he has had lasik, but that really isn't on the Bucs.  Frankly, he made the call when he demanded pretty high franchise QB money after 5 lackluster seasons.  He had 30 interceptions last year, and looking at the highlights of those, he probably singlehandedly lost 5-6 games, and then he was -9 when it came to fumbles.  So after asking for 25 million, not only did every team in the league pass on offering him starter money, but they also passed on offering him good backup money.

Now he could very well make huge strides with a new team, but that's not a reason to keep a player.  Also, the QBs and players that really burned us tended to be guys we surrounded with crap, didn't give much of a chance to, or simply were dumped b/c of cheap owners.  Winston had great receivers to throw to, and they invested 5 years on him.  It seems to me that in recent years, we really haven't been burned unexpectedly in recent years with players we cut.  Sure, we unloaded a few head cases that we knew had tons of talent, but they needed to go to a team that could handle their crap.

Frankly had we kept Winston, I think we'd have another year without a winning season, and both the coaching staff and he would likely have been jettisoned afterwards.

I'm trying to decide between two activities for Monday Night. I can watch the Bucs/Rams game....I know I know...who would ever do that. The second choice is something my friends have come up with. Driving off a cliff in your car. Essentially you get a good rolling start in your ride up to about 75 mph and then go right over the edge of a cliff. Now I'm afraid of heights anyway so this in itself I hope doesn't have me black out because I wouldn't want to miss the sheer terror of the drop nor would I want to miss the initial contact with the ground. From what I've been to told the sound and the pain of limbs breaking, chest being compressed and the beginnings of severe head trauma is absolutely not to me missed.
I'm really at a loss as to which would be more enjoyable.

I really hope it’s Jameis.  I’ve been extremely happy with Brady at QB, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t think the Bucs should have stuck with Winston after his 5000 yard season.  I’ll be glad to be wrong and dispense with the what-ifs that are floating around in the back of my mind... so seeing if he plays well or if it’s more of the same on a winning organization with a respected head coach is particularly interesting to me.

If he shits the bed, not only would I feel better about him being gone, but it could help Tampa win the division.  I suppose the the side of that coin is that he plays well, helps New Orleans win the division and goes on to be another QB that the Bucs let get away without fully developing...

fwiw-I'm aware of who The Weeknd is as my wife is on the pulse unlike you old fuckers. Since he performs at least a few of his tunes with other artists such as Drake, it's probable that some of those acts will be part of the show.

My wife pretty much said the same thing and I agreed with her. I'm sure it's all Covid related somehow in terms of the setup and setting and who wants to commit for this year.

I don't give a shit what the fuckin' game plan was, the team has to show up to carry it out. The collective 53 man unit and coaching staff completely folded in the face of adversity. They didn't show up.
That score should never happen in this game even in a situation which the teams are undermanned or overmatched. That certainly shouldnt be the case in this game. This also isn't the '99 game vs the Raiders which was in Oakland. This was a home game for the Bucs. The single worst loss I've seen this team incur.
