Shit, he is more a QB guru than the people on this board.  Not defending the guy but that many years playing QB in the NFL and winning a Super Bowl gives the guy some insights that the rest of us lack.  Sadly, some of the most informed have such illusions of grandeur and hubris that they should be a one man football team.  Just saying...

'nuff said.

Carry on.

He's garbage. He won a Super Bowl on the back of one of, if not the best, defenses of all time. Big whoop. He knows more than fans on a board? Ok maybe he does maybe he doesn't? I didn't know we were competing.

Why wouldn't he paint himself as a QB guru on tv? You seem to equate success with the ability to judge and teach a game which has been proven over and over to not be a requirement.

For someone who can judge the game he sure has been wrong on a lot of evaluations of QBs coming out of college. I also notice how he isn't coaching QBs in the NFL. If he is such an expert someone would hire him on their staff in the NFL. I don't have a personal vendetta against the guy though and don't wish to hijack the thread by getting into an extended dialogue about whether he is or isn't a QB guru. Had I known he had this many defenders I wouldn't have mentioned anything lol.

Dilfer is playing in 99 instead of King we are on 2 SB's right now.

This is a truth, capons.  Paul Gruber was lost that year also. If Gruber was playing LT against the Rams in the NFCC, it’s  a win.

Trently could have run for as many yards as burger boy threw for.

Not defending the guy.  Saying he's garbage, etc really doesn't state anything other than your overly subjective opinion.

Compared to you, me, and the rest of this board, he is certainly more qualified to make statements about other QBs.  Regardless of the asterisks you wish to through on his SB win, he still has one and you and the rest of this board don't.   That's a fact.  He played in the NFL for 14 years.  That's a fact.  He was hired by ESPN to commentate on games and give his opinion.  That's a fact.  You may not like him.  Hell I certainly wasn't a fan.  However, I would listen to what he says above what anyone on this board says about NFL QBs just because the guy has experience.

If you don't like facts, than feel free to join the other idiots that think they know everything and spout out their opinions like it's fact.  I for one will spout my options based on fact.  Hint hint hint.

'nuff said.  Carry the fuck on. ;)

Some of the best batting coaches in Major League Baseball, were guys who couldn't hit in the Majors. In contrast, Ted Williams who was a great hitter but he was not patient or interested in teaching ordinary players how to hit. He liked working with Yaz who was already a great hitter.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ted_Williams      Like many great players, Williams became impatient with ordinary athletes' abilities and attitudes, particularly those of pitchers, whom he admitted he never respected.

https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/ask-ba-how-many-mlb-hitting-coaches-never-played-for-an-organization/  The stats and playing resumes of MLB hitting coaches show that an ability to teach, communicate and connect are more important than being an excellent player.

Man I hate all the Dilfer hate.

I met him a few times and found him to be a great guy. So it didn't work out. How many have?

He even autographed a jersey suitable for framing back then and the fact it's at the bottom of a ton of other Buc shit in my closet means nothing. Absolutely fucking nothing I tell ya.

Dilfer's ESPN personality is way different than he is in person. A family member lived right next to him and he was a likeable guy who at a young age was great with kids. When his own son died, I thought it ironic that a person who seemed to enjoy being around kids would suffer a loss such as that. A perfect example, in my view, of the perception of fans being completely different from the reality of the person.

Next thing we know you'll be telling us that watching the  games gives a fan better insight into the team than not watching the games.

This Brady signing has a lot of people thinking championship. But the team may have screwed the pooch for thousands of fans who actually attend the games. With the frenzied pace of ticket sales Ray Jay may no longer have the typical space available for social distancing.

(I used to like the upper deck for that. You can keep moving to where the light towers cast some shade.)

Only met him once. He and Wyche sat right behind the wife and I at a local HS football game yrs ago.. Both seemed like good guys. Dilfer definitely seemed intimidated by Wyche.

Speaking of the Brady signing, ... there's an article at the Bucs website in which it says Brady was the first player they went after because "he has perfect skill set for what we're trying to do here."

If that's true they were trying to do something the quarterback Arians supposedly was whispering to wasn't even a fit for, weren't they? Does Jaboob have a similar game or skill set as Brady other than they both can throw a football? Will they add to or change the offense to more of what they're trying to implement? Or is the story typical bullshit?

Questions to ponder between sessions at pornhub and checking responses at farmanimalsonly.com with all the free time lately.

That bastard shut the fucker down, he abused it so much.

Sure, there's plenty of abuse of self abuse going on now with the shelter in place orders. And talk about autoerotism, I'm sure there's lots of other people sneaking outside at night to jerk off on their cars.
