SSSSUUUUUUHHHH!!!!!!!

Whelp -- if he doesn't actually sign, and instead ends up elsewhere, the Bucs just go back to sitting on their cash and being patient, waiting for another / few other shoes to drop as training camp and preseason unfold.  I would be all right with this.

I wouldn't doubt it if some team were trying to outbid the Bucs for him at this moment, or maybe Todd's Bowel has Lichtbag on the phone with Adam Gaserbeam of the Jitz to see if they'd eat 3 or 4 large of Leonard Williams' salary so they could get the Leonard instead of Soo.

Nothing official at this point. Bit of concern there.

Yeah, you'd think they read all the reports out there and know it's a done deal.

But maybe it's Darcie's turn to give him a great blowjob before there's ink. Light's jaw must be getting tired.

Would love for there to be a trade for Willaims and then dump JPP for the salary space for the rooks.

and not necessarily in the not right way.

The Fins took a $22mil cap hit to get rid of him because they couldn't stand him in the locker room and the Rams reportedly weren't big fans of him in the locker room either last year.  Not sure where this "leadership" ability got tagged to Suh.

And this is the biggest concern.....

Maybe on his shoe? It might have happened when he stepped on Rogers ankle, hit Cutler in the back of the head, kicked Fitzmagic in the head, cleated EDS, or some other such inspirational act that frustrated Bucs fans would've gotten excited about.

Any thought Suh is going to come in here and take young players under his wing and mentor them is wishful thinking by Buc fans. He is known for not hanging out after practice and isn't going to change his ways at this point in his career.

What the Bucs would be getting is a 32 year old, one year player who will make some splash plays, help stuff the run and add needed depth on the DL. He will also get disinterested and frustrated when things go wrong.

I'd be fine with that kind of signing because they are desperate for the depth on the dline, but not for the reported 10 mil.

A one year mercenary who might help the coaches avoid the immediate perception they're no better than the last several coaches and allows the team to sign it's draft picks? Guess they think it's worth whatever Glazer gold and sexual favors it takes.

Anyone thinking that has gone full retard, way beyond wishful thinking.

There are different ways to lead. Suh is an interesting guy. He’s very smart, generally nice, but kind of moody. He’s not the kind of guy to generally mentor younger players. But he’s a leader on the field, certainly in setting an example for toughness, intensity, and angry play.

Remember that 10 million may be incentives or bonuses or money he will never earn. I would like the breakdown on what he will get guaranteed and what he has to do to get these bonuses.

The Bucs may need to cut their high priced punter if they want a 3rd or 4th round comp pick comp pick. They do not have one now based on the current roster unless they sacrifice the punter they just signed with a 2.6 million dollar guarantee.

https://overthecap.com/2020-compensatory-draft-picks-update-5-13-2019/

Tampa Bay: Like Dallas, they are stuck with a net value 7th due to having a equal number of CFAs lost and gained, and have high valued comp picks (a 3rd for Kwon Alexander and a 4th for Adam Humphries) cancelled out as a result. Unlike Dallas, the Bucs do not have quite as easy of a way to free up those comp picks. Deone Buchanon has no guaranteed money on his $2.5 million contract, so that’s a start. But after that, the Bucs would have to look at Bradley Pinion, who signed a four year contract that has $2.6 million in guarantees. It appears likely that Tampa Bay will be sacrificing a 3rd or 4th round comp pick on a high level punter deal, at a similar time to when they expended a 5th round pick on kicker Matt Gay.

Was trying to be kind.

If you listened to the local sports radio folk this week, that was the common theme amongst them and some callers. Suh was going to be a vet presence that the younger guys could learn from.

What's all that about?

Apparently Licht is clueless how compensatory picks works. If he had not signed Bradley Pinion a big FA contract as a punter, the Bucs would have received a third round or 4th round compensatory pick for the loss of Kwon Alexander or a 4th rounder for the loss of Adam Humphries in free agency. It essentially make Pinion a late third or 4th round draft choice.

All we can do as fans, assuming he signs...and the France thing is bullshit because he could officially agree and sign when he returns or I understand they now have fax machines in France and he could sign in that fashion, is hope he plays well. The entire scope of the leadership qualities of Suh on and off the field is simply bullshit.

The Bordeaux sippin brute's signing sounds horribly expensive without knowing any contract details but it's believed to be a 1 year deal, and most of the roster is set ... ain't it?

It's not nearly as potentially damaging as say a long term QB contract for what, $100 million, some might be getting these days.

Or a 4 year $4 million guaranteed deal for a p  a p p pppunter? 🦃

One potential reason for no signing news yet on Bucs and Suh: He just posted video on Instagram from ... France. (From Greg Auman Twitter)
