Will Grier or Kyle Shurmur would be a good gets somewhere in rounds 2-4. Both very talented QBs who could blossom with a QB guru like Arians.

Lock is my favorite QB in the draft, but he will be a first rounder.

The Bucs would have a young QB to develop should Jaboo get injured, play like shit or do something stupid to get suspended.

Hopefully Winston plays great and earns a long term deal, but it’s good to have another young option to develop just in case.

Neither will be a Buc. Arians isn’t looking to develop two quarterbacks, Jameis is the project. Arians will have Licht get a veteran scrub or two.

I think the thing about Greedy that other scouts have pointed out is he has a really high growth ceiling. He's probably not going to be the "best" CB at draft time, but I do feel he will be the best CB from this draft class. Again, just my opinion and I realize that most aren't as high on him as I am.

And sorry to hijack the thread with draft talk. $cam Newton sucks......there, we are back on topic.

You’re right and that’s most likely what’s going to happen.

But the reason this franchise is in perpetual rebuild mode is that they aren’t proactive or forward thinking at all.

We all (sorry a lot of Buc fans) hope Winston turns into the man and we don’t have to worry about drafting a QB for a long time. But if we all knew that for sure, he would already have a long term deal.

Looking at the Bucs 2nd thru 4th round picks of the last decade, they could do much worse than adding a possible insurance policy at the most important position in football.

I also think a young, talented QB may be good for Jameis.

Which, in my opinion, is the correct take on the situation. Not sure on that OL at #5. There's no OLman I'd take even with a trade back and too many other positions I would take. Devin White, Multiple DLs, maybe Greedy.

Interesting. Funny how differently we all see these players.

While I think the Buc oline was under coached and the lack of creativity in the running game hurt them, I think they absolutely need a new right guard and a OT to groom to take over for Dotson.

This draft is pretty loaded with talented Olineman and Jonah Williams is NFL ready to plug and play at RT and can play RG if needed.

I do agree that there may be a more talented defensive player available like Devin White, who seems like a perfect fit in Bowles defense, or of course if Quinenn Williams or Bosa some how fall, then they would be easy picks.

But I can see Jonah Williams easily being the pick at 5.

2020 will be the year to draft a QB, the talent pool seems stronger> If Jameis takes the mule out on the field and blows it in front of everyone in 2019, Bucs probably spend a premium pick on a QB. If he does what he is supposed to do, it will be a mid-to-late round pick, IMO.

Ironically, the guy that Winston could use as a backup is Josh McCown.

I hate it but I could sure see that happening. Won't have to worry about any "McCown Magic" as there is none since his 8 game run in Chicago that fooled me into thinking he could play.

Ha....I was the other pudding head thinking that guy could play...If we had a list of Buc Quarter Backs....That list would be scary ...No wonder why some of out most informed were beaming over Mansqueal...the QB that Made Mike Evans

lol. Yeah, we all got duped with that one. But it's no surprise. We were told Raheem was the next Mike Tomlin. Schiano the next Bellicheck. Bucs' fans have a nasty habit of believing the impossible.

I like this. Coaches for two years, establishes the culture, wins a Super Bowl, and retires to a private island with all the live porn he can handle.

You say you like Arians cause he has a nice goat teak?
