Here's an update from the local fish wrap here in N.J.

Still expect the Bucs to F this up somehow.

Far better story

The Bucs haven't announced anything so JBF remains acorn free.

Of course they haven’t because Arians will end up coaching the damn Packers or Broncos after using Licht to leverage the shit out of the Bucs as everyone else has always done. Fuck me Brian.

And there you see once again your uncle hits the nail on the head.     You're all welcome.

Next order of business.    Extension for Jaboo.

Yep. Do it now. Bake in some language that includes behavior clauses and allows the Bucs' some cap flexibility if they need to cut ties. But, I'm totally good with giving Winston a four year deal that runs parallel to Arians' tenure.

Yep, let's extend him on a weak bungee cord from the Skyway Bridge.   Now we have a real coaching staff in order, for the first time in years.  So, where in the hell do we get a QB, a couple of O Linemen,  another pass rusher to compliment JPP, aaand, an entire secondary ?  It's a great new start, but it's still a Bucs Life. #realitywhataconcept.

No need to extend Jameis now. Let he and Brucey get to know each other. Arians likes to get really close with his quarterbacks, like, over to the house,  eat dinner, watch porn, jerk each other off type stuff.  Knttr was not a guy to get close to players that way even though he was a players coach.  So Arians will know better than anyone whether Jameis turnover Tourettes are the result of no running game, a shit defense and pressure to be supergirl, or if it’s because he can’t help it.  Bruce will know and the GlacertardLichts will do what he decides after a year of close encounters of the Arians kind.

Unless you're getting Lawrence, a better QB isn't magically falling out of the sky.

Arians is known to be fond of Jameis. He also hasn't gotten close with him or to him yet, so putting pressure on an extension when the dude is already tied up through 2019, is silly.  If he lays a turd on the field in 2019, there's your answer. If he performs like we all hope he does, there;s your answer. If it's somewhere in between but definitive progress is shown, there's your answer.

Tough choice only if he stays exactly the same. That would be the fuckening.

The team doesn't need Lawrence. What it needs is better and more consistent play out of the current QB. He hasn't shown this to this point. If he does, he can be kept. If not, they can draft another victim next year.

Or he comes out on fire, and decides to test the market and see what someone will pay for a 26 year old top caliber NFL QB with years of experience.   Cousins just got 3 years $83 million and he's 30.
