Is this the most undisciplined Bucs Team? McCoy thinks So

Recommended Posts

In post-game press conference, Gerald McCoy said: "Probably the worst I've ever been on as a collective"

“I usually know what to say. At this point, guys. I don’t know. I don’t know anymore. I don’t know. I know we’re going to keep going. I don’t have no answer. I really don’t I’m sorry.

“We gotta be more disciplined that that. Penalties can kill you. A lot of the points in the game we were at because of penalties. Very undisciplined team. Very undisciplined team. Probably the worst I’ve ever been on as a collective, as a unit.”

THIS!!!^^^^^

That's about where I turned it off..

Or maybe when they allowed Atl to convert a 3rd and forever with a 5yd def holding call that came with an automatic first down

I am DONE with this ignorant overpaid franchise..

Top to bottom.. This franchise is stuffed chock full Stupid, Ignorant Undisciplined people...

We've gone thru two other eras of PATHETIC in the past but there was a difference. Back then because of the young age of the franchise, they were still our loveable funny Bucs.. And we put up with it..

It aint loveable any more Lovie, It aint cute.. From ownership on down, it's simply pathetic..

So the overpaid asshat is still yapping........let's look at his stat line for today. Yeah, that's right he only had 1 tackle with no QB hurries and no sacks.......and an offsides called on him. Gas bag needs to turn his fucking finger around at himself, as he is part of the problem.

He approaches it as if he's the winner teaching the losers to win. He hasn't won since college....like a great deal of the other players. A bit less chatting would suffice for Gerald....particularly after an ineffective day.

I have a hard time blaming Lenny for what I see far more from every Seahawk db on every pass play especially the multiple hand checking contact on every wide receiver for 40 yards on a pass route. For a style of bump and run coverage that is supposed to be prohibited as a point of emphasis by the refs, they certainly do not call enough penalties on the Seahawks secondary to get them to stop.

I don't understand the negative comments toward McCoy, his effort is 110%. What is he doing about it? I would guess after keeping his comments in house had no effect, now he is calling his team mates out. Would you rather he just shut up and talk about only being 3 games out or some other company line?

I'd prefer for him to keep his mouth shut and show more on the stat sheet than one tackle.

The way he hits up the podium after games, you'd think he's JJ Watt. Then, you look at his tangible production, and you see a glorified Chris Hovan.

Thank you. I'm tired of seeing "fans" complain about the best player on our team. It's a team. He can't do it all and it was in no way his fault we lost. I can understand the frustration of losing and wanting to take it out on someone but just because he is the highest paid doesn't mean it's his fault. I like McCoy. He kept it real at his presser. He's frustrated, and instead of giving y'all that same old crap about being 3 games out, and we are improving every week, he's said you know what we suck, and we are undisciplined. And to me that falls squarely on the head coach. Over everything I'm most disappointed with this season the number one thing has got to be the coaching.

People need to understand the difference between blaming McCoy for losing, and calling him out for his running his mouth. Two entirely different things.

Is he the reason for the Bucs' being 1-8? No. I don't recall anyone saying that, myself included.

But, when a guy comes out and goes on about how he doesn't think his teammates are tired of losing - and then proceeds to put up one tackle - I can't help but find his usual post game comments to be tiring and empty.

If he simply shut up, and played, I don't he'd generate nearly as much criticism.

Case in point - Lavonte David. When has ever said anything about his teammates, or the state of the franchise? He's too busy playing at an all pro level. McCoy should try it.

The crappy Tampa media thinks McCoy is the leader, so they go to him automatically after games. David is the best player on that bad defense, but you never read quotes from him. Why doesn't the media jump on his jock like they hang on McCoy's? Geraldini could just say, I am part of the problem, I didn't play well. He is saying what we are saying about being undisciplined, but then that's the coach's job to bench the player after a bonehead decision or play.

If Lovie can't even ice the kicker "correctly" how can he expect his players to be any better at their jobs? I mean, the TO needs to be called prior to the snap so there is no practice kick that gives the kicker an advantage. The icing is supposed to be the extra time the kicker has to think about missing the kick. And that's usually only effective with the game on the line.

And if you look at the box score; McCown threw for over 300 yards, Bucs had 23 first downs the their 19, 70% 3rd conversions, More total yards, More time of possession, Average gain per play that matched them, Punting average that matched them, Rushing yards that matched them, Had a big 53 yard punt return.

The Bucs had 10 penalties and 3 turnovers though.

So, McCoy's comments about those penalties are relevant, if not unnecessary. But he's not paid to be an analyst.

He's be wise to publicly address his efforts and keep the rest in the locker room. If that's not effective, it's still a locker room issue and I'd look forward to the rumors of the fist fights and beatdowns along with the requisite denial stories.

My mistake, I forgot that Snook likes McCoy, so you don't.

Nah. Your mistake is that you're projecting snook's immature BS (i.e., Lavonte David went to Nebraska so he must suck) onto me. No worries though.

As for 'not liking' McCoy, you're right, I don't. Has nothing to do with snook or anyone else. I'm capable of forming the opinion on my own. Everyone's different, right? I prefer players to focus more on their on-field production than they are on preparing one liners after another week of piss poor play.

And this notion that McCoy's role as team spokesman is perfectly fine, that too is something I don't agree with. As I said in another thread, the guy's been the lynch pin on some of the worst defenses in team history - and in some cases, league history. No one in the Bucs' lockerroom is following this guy. Maybe he'll bribe them with ice cream, so there's that.

Yes. All the sound bytes from Geraldini and don't recall too many that focus on what he did, or what he needs to do. Want to take issue with your teammates? Fine. Do it to their face, behind closed doors. To do so would require something he may not have...
