Just keep pretending it is an election hoax. BTW, the GOP Governor of Texas just told the people of Texas to cut this crap out.
    https://www.kxan.com/news/coronavirus/14-dallas-family-members-get-covid-19-after-virus-deniers-party-1-dead-and-another-on-life-support/
A Dallas man who hosted family members in June, under the thought COVID-19 was a hoax, now regrets that after one member died and 13 others tested positive for the virus, with one on life support.
According the a report by NBC, Tony Green invited his partner’s parents over to his house for a party June 13. Green admitted no one wore masks, as he thought “the mainstream media and the Democrats were using it [COVID-19} to create panic, crash the economy and destroy Trump’s chances at re-election.”
The next day, Green felt sick. Two days later, his partner of nine years and parents felt sick. However, his partner’s parents, whom Green considers his in-laws even though he and his partner aren’t married, still went to Austin for the birth of their first grandchild, the report says.
Two other family members went to Austin with the in-laws. Both got sick. The parents of the newborn also got sick. The newborn didn’t, Green said.
Everyone tested positive for coronavirus, Green said. He and his father-in-law, Rafael Ceja, were admitted to a hospital June 24, and then Ceja’s mother was admitted to the same hospital later on. She was one of the family members who traveled from Dallas to Austin with Green’s in-laws.
The mother died of COVID-19 complications on July 2, Green said. She was in the room next to her son, and her son didn’t even know she was there. Ceja learned later that day she died, Green said. Only 10 family members could attend her funeral two days later, Green said.
Ceja is still on life support as of July 27, according to a GoFundMe page that Green set up.
Two of Ceja’s sisters, one of his nephews and a brother-in-law had all contracted the virus bringing the total number of infected family members to 14, Green said.
Twelve family members have either recovered or are in various stages of recovery, Green said.
“I cannot help but feel responsible for convincing our families it was safe to have a get-together,” Green told NBC News in a phone interview. “There’s a lot of things that I would have done differently.”

Not so sure about the intellect problem.
Perhaps he fell into the trap of a lot of major college athletes in that he was enabled?
As a redshirt freshman he became the youngest player to win the Heisman and then went on to win a NC.
IIRC he came out of HS with a 4.0 GPA and was recruited by Stanford.
Mooch did a whiteboard with him around the draft and came away pretty impressed with his FB knowledge.
Maybe the lasik issue was his problem all along - maybe he's a late bloomer - or maybe he's just a knucklehead.
    We abouta fine out.

Strange that you would want to get rid of one turnover prone QB just to dump a first rounder on another.

Patriots make a lot of good moves.  The entire focus is on doing everything to win.  Great QB, but Belicheat might have been ready to have Garoppolo take over soon before he was overridden (possibly?).

Things they seem to do right....
    1. Cheat...nobody cheats like those fuckers.  Nobody.  They cheated so badly that the NFL itself destroyed the evidence due to fear of lawsuits.
    2. They are willing to unload older players as their play declines instead of holding on to them due to loyalty.
    3. They are very good at trading for picks and playing the trade game.
    4. They have a strong enough culture and good enough talent that they can take in problem players on the cheap, get great play for them for a year or two, without them damaging the team culture.  What would often be subtraction by addition for other teams, gives them top notch talent.  Also, players will take a cheaper year with the Patriots to get a Super Bowl win and improve their value.
    5. Because of 3 and 4, they are able to draft with a focus on talent without reaching for players due to need.
    6. Because of 2-5, they are able to avoid cap hell, and have plenty of cap space to acquire talent when it becomes available.

Then there's good coaching and all that.

OT sorta. . . It was interesting to read how the Patriots (Ernie Adams) found that a left footed punter would give the team a certain percentage (don't remember) of muffed punts during a given season and thats why they coveted a left footed punter.    He is an interesting read - https://www.sportscasting.com/meet-the-mysterious-man-behind-the-patriots-dynasty/

Buc reacted to Tundra in Good Read on Winston
It says that Winston is inconsistent, and we still don't know whether or not he will live up to his potential, but the way he finished last season (high DVOA or some fancy metric) , there is hope.
Bassinger wrote it, and he is the one guy I have time to read at the fishwrap.
My thing is this -- Winston knows his defense is going to give up 450+ yards and 35+ points. So he is trying to score on damn near every play, because he knows he has to if he wants to win. And he wants to win.  Give him a merely average defense, one that he trusts and believes in,  and it will be fun.

This draft is loaded with good defensive lineman..no reason to draft the one with a questionable ticker.
Now if this caused him to fall to the 2nd round then Licht should pounce..I mean considering most of his 2nd round picks had questionable hearts. ASJ, Roberta, Jones...

Elway will never be satisfied with his QB - and he will probably draft another one this year.

kind of OT - But didn't want to start a new thread
I found this very interesting.  It is the thought that IF JW plays well enough this year the Bucs would perhaps Franchise tag him for 2020. . . .

Seemingly overlooked is that the current collective bargaining agreement (CBA) between the NFL and the NFLPA expires after the 2020 season. Now why would Team Glazer (or any other owner much less an agent of a high profile player) want to sign a “big” contract with a player when no one knows what the next CBA will look like?
No one has any clue what the salary cap will be after next season. Hey, it’s entirely possible that the NFL and NFLPA could agree to an NBA-like salary cap where one veteran free agent player’s salary is exempt if he re-signs with his team. This is known as the “Larry Bird Exemption.” You know, like potentially a quarterback?
