So if I’m following correctly, and I can be a bit slow so forgive me, the kicker should start kicking more to the middle of the uprights? This place isn’t the home of the most informed for no reason.

    Koetter called this shit show

Watching the Giants last night with Odell, Barkley along with Engram I think they are going to destroy the hapless Bucs

That’s pretty good but only one genius per thread allowed.

JW eats a W in that setting yesterday. Fitz's ball has lost it's zip, it's late, and he can't stay in rythm in the red zone because he can't see over the line. So he ends up running around behind the line like Jeff Garcia, he's just not as good at it.

    Koetter called this shit show

What ever the case, we ALL have to admit Koetter's presser today was a stroke of pure genius..
  13. 1 point
I think the play calling thing is much ado about nothing. Quizzie didn't punt the ball into the endzone because of a playcall. Cameron Brate didn't drop a pass at the 2 yard line on third down because of a playcall. Catanzaro didn't miss the FG because of a play call and so on and so on.

I still like whoever it was that suggested Gus the fucking Donkey. At least he'd be fun to take to the Mons after games.

    Koetter called this shit show

I really think Dirk has gone mad. The pressure's got him. He doesn't even know when he can fuckn challenge a call. ???WHAT????????????? I wonder what he does at practice? He already says he doesn't do shit on defense. He has turned over offense to Monken. So , I know. He probably sits around during practice doing this.

Who is The Bucs Next Inept Kicker ?

Hammerhead Report post Posted May 16, 2007 Pewter Power Member Member # 1838 posted 05-11-2007 02:26 PM [/url] Here's the entire thread in which hammerhead was renamed koko. It's going to take a few posts, but I have all of it. ========================================================================================== Buc_Daddy Trent Dilfer had his good points. Among them was his ability to stay healthy and his arm strength. Unfortunately for Trent his bad points far outweigh his positives on the field. He struggled with composure, reading defenses, his accuracy is atrocious and he lacked leadership. Short and simple, sure Trent could handled a beating and "chuck" the ball forever but all that was useless because he struggled to get the ball in the same zip code as his receivers. Worse off was that defenses could easily confuse and rattle him. Why am I rehashing what we all know already? Because it is all too eerily similar to a recent Buc addition. The Bucs picked up Trent Dilfer Jr, his name is Ryan Leaf. Another first rounder with all world "potential", a guy that can "chuck" the ball. Yet when push comes to shove he struggles with accuracy, reading defenses and composure. Sure its easy to gloss over Leaf’s poor performance on "well he played for San Diego". There is only a little truth in that statement. How much of San Diego's problems stemmed from Ryan Leaf? Sure he didn't have a lot of talent around him but there was enough for freaking Jim Harbaugh to prove that Leaf has a big part of the problem. Harbaugh didn't light the world on fire but he also didn't flame out like Leaf did. Harbaugh will also never be confused for an HOF QB. That’s what make the comparisons all the more startling. Both QB's had the same players around them and played within the same system. Harbaugh, an average NFL quarterback, was able to achieve a QB rating of 74.6 with a completion percentage of 61 percent. Leaf on the other hand held a 56.2 QB rating and completed a paltry 50 percent of his passes. And going back to his other year of service it was even worse! Leaf held a 39 QB rating, completing only 45 percent of his passes and he threw 15 pick to 2 touchdowns! My point here is that an average, at best, NFL QB outperformed Leaf in the same system with the same players. Its hardly fair to blame Leafs lousy playing all on San Diego. The truth of the matter is that most of Leafs problems stem from himself. He's an inaccurate QB that struggles to read NFL quality defenses. And now the Tampa Bay stage opens for Trent Dilfer act II, subtitled Ryan Leaf. Of coarse that’s not fair to Dilfer, he doesn’t fight with anybody he can find within 50 feet. ========================================================================================== hammerhead Buc_daddy, I am not sure why you brought this point up? Do you want king to be pathetic in the playoffs again and have our buc defense give up because of it? Are you pissed that KJ had a short qb throwing to him? Are you pissed that dilfer won a super bowl in tampa in your face? What was the purpose of your thread? King will not win the bucs a super bowl. Sapp knows it and I know it. You dilfer bashers were in such a hurry to get him out of here that you forgot the goal was winning games and succeeding. Well, the bucs got worse. hammerhead ( and pissed about williams, testy, and dilfer) ========================================================================================== DaFaxinator HH: Dilfer had to go. I'm glad he's gone. He's not for us. Time to move on. If things work out well for him, he'll find a backup role on some team for near the league minimum. Da Faxinator ========================================================================================== hammerhead dfax, just remember, our team got worse. Hate doesnt always work ========================================================================================== Buc_Daddy quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Originally posted by hammerhead: Buc_daddy, I am not sure why you brought this point up? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Because I wanted a point of refernce to say I told you so in 6-8 months Actually Hammer if you can't figure that out I think I'm wasting my time explaining this but here I go. Considering Leaf just signed a new contract with the Bucs it would only seem logical to discuss it. BTW Hummer, did you discuss this with Sapp at lunch on Tuesday? Or are you just psychic? ========================================================================================== Elusive HH, Just remember that it would have still got worse with your lover. It is a team game after all. ========================================================================================== DaFaxinator HH: I'm sorry, but our team didn't get worse, as you claim. In fact, our offense got better. Saying otherwise won't make it so. As far as your "hate" comment goes, I don't hate Dilfer in the least. After backing him right up until the season opener against the Giants, my eyes were simply opened to the fact that this guy is just not a very good NFL quarterback. Da Faxinator ========================================================================================== hammerhead dfax, we lost pathetically in a wild card game on the road. King is gone. You seem to be happy that the bucs got worse last year. You and others in here got what you wanted. No dilfer and a worse team. What kind of buc knowledge are you going to thrust upon us know? Dilfer bashers wasted an awesome buc team with a pitiful qb for a year. I love the bucs. I happen to be pissed that difer bashers ran this team team to a wasteful year. What a waste. Hope you all are happy. hammerhead [This message has been edited by hammerhead (edited 03-26-2001).] ========================================================================================== Buc_Daddy HH How come you never make any sense?

That's why I had to put it in there. Just like any discussion of greatest Buc quarterback of all time must include Dilfer, just to get Pirate to post!

So both Fitzpatrick and Winston have proven this year they can be good at times, mediocre at times and really suck at times. Great I think we can all agree on that. Problem is one was supposed to be good and getting better, the other was supposed to be a backup to our franchise guy.

"Catanzaro will be gone tomorrow" does. But it never fuckin happens. And no one has believed me that it's been Anger's devious mischief that has gotten all those idiot kickers fired. Make em look OK in camp. Then BAM Charlie Muthafkin Brown!

Koetter might not finish the season

Dumping coaches isn't always the answer, except for when the current head coach sucks. Just not impressed with Koetter. There was a 6 game stretch in 2016 when it looked like this thing was being turned around. Two years later, here we are. His taking the play calling back and then proceeding to put up 3 points with 500+ yards of offense has to be the final straw.

    It's Gotten to the Point

I'm one of them. I've found other things to do on Sunday now, and I never thought I would get to that point. I guess I'm not a true fan but enough is enough. Some owners just care about making a profit and not winning at the same time. Our owners are in that cabal.
