The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are saddened to announce the passing of Owner/President Malcolm Glazer earlier this morning at the age of 85.

A dynamic business leader, Glazer helped mold the Buccaneers into a model franchise and one respected league-wide. Since being purchased by Glazer in 1995, the Buccaneers franchise has earned seven playoff berths, five playoff wins, and captured its first Super Bowl championship in 2002.

Known among his league peers as a pioneering thinker, Glazer infused his team and employees with the determination and dedication to be the best in the NFL. Glazer’s commitment to building a championship organization has provided the foundation for continued success, on and off the field.

Glazer’s input was instrumental on the league level as well, as evidenced by his time serving on the NFL’s Finance Committee. He also played a major role in Tampa becoming a host for the Super Bowl on several occasions.

Most inside-the-park home runs require a bit of luck and a lot of hustle. Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Wil Myers got more than enough luck to make up for a lack of hustle out of the batter's box during the third inning against the New York Yankees on Sunday.
Yankees center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury jumped into the wall while trying to catch a shot off the bat of Myers, but the ball hit the wall and rolled away from him. At that point, Myers went from jogging to busting it around the bases. By the time right fielder Carlos Beltran got to the ball, the Yankees had very little chance of throwing Myers out:

Doug Martin medically cleared from shoulder injuryFor all the free agents imported by the new Tampa Bay Buccaneers regime, one of the most important additions is a young player returning from a torn labrum that cost him the entire second half of the 2013 season.
Running back Doug Martin said Friday that he expects to gain medical clearance next week and should be ready for offseason workouts on April 22.

The Waiver Wire is reporting that Tampa is in the hunt for Jared Allen..

26. DE Jared Allen

GK: The Minnesota Vikings were a bad team all-around last year, but none of that is Jared Allen’s fault. He posted another double-digit sack season for the seventh-consecutive year. He’s still one of the best passing rushing defensive ends, even at 32-years old.
It’s almost a foregone conclusion that Allen won’t be returning to the Vikings next year. There are two teams in my mind that I see him landing with. The first would be the Seattle Seahawks, who made a late charge at the trade deadline for Allen. But the more likely of scenarios would be Allen reuniting with former head coach Leslie Frazier in Tampa Bay, where he is now the defensive coordinator. Frazier might’ve been a poor head coach, but he always controlled the locker room and has the respect of Allen, along with many others from his time in Minnesota.

Prediction: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

AH: Finally a player I get to predict leaving his team from last year! Unfortunately, it’s not an exciting prediction because I’m forced to agree with Greg. There’s been some rumors about the Bucs being interested in him, they need a DE and he’d fit in well there.

Prediction: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

PR: What a beast Jared Allen has been his entire career. I know he is 32 but I don’t see how he isn’t higher on this list. He is still producing at a high level and he manages to stay healthy. I could see Tampa being an option but they are still not a great team. I think Allen wants to win and I think he will be more than a situational pass rusher. Allen wants to go somewhere with a good QB and on a team that can realistically compete for a championship. I don’t think that team is the Bucs. I think if he is serious about winning a championship his best landing spot is Denver. I think Denver lets Phillips walk and picks up Allen and have Allen on one side and Von Miller on the other. That will just be deadly to every QB they face.

Prediction: Denver Broncos

Yeah or Neh on the idea of bringing Allen to the Bucs?

Hello - I'm from Orlando and hoping to find a good place to tailgate for the MNF game. The plan is to have a good time and leave my truck at the tailgate and pick up in the morning. Does anyone know of a good secured place where I can leave my truck after the game?
